Handicraft Art in Uzbekistan 14 days | 12 nights

Day 1 Welcome to Tashkent!

Flight from homeland to Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Arrival in Tashkent at__. Welcome by driver at Tashkent International Airport. Transfer (check-in at/ after 14:00) to hotel.

At 9:00 meet your local guide and start to explore the city. The first discovery by the visit to complex of Khast-i-Imam, religious center of Tashkent. Architectural ensemble includes several constructions, built in XVI –XIX cc. Then you will discover beautiful madrasa Kukeldash.

Lunch time.

In the afternoon continue and visit to The Museum of Applied Art of Tashkent, the ancient palace of Russian diplomat Alexander Polovtsev that is transformed to the museum in 1938; Chorsu Bazaar –the biggest market of the country.
Dinner time. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2 Tashkent – Kokand –Fergana

Breakfast at hotel.

Morning drive to Fergana Valley through Kamchik Pass (2 268m above sea). Upon arrival in Kokand take visit to ancient Palace of Khan Khudoyar.

Built in 1871, the palace belonged to the last ruler of Kokand Khaganate Khudoyar Khan. Before the palace included 7 small courtyards with 119 rooms, only 20 of which well-preserved till nowadays. Today, you can see an interesting museum in the territory of palace with expositions, dating back hundreds of years. The decoration of interiors richly composed of carved woods and painted ganch.

Than you can explore Friday Mosque.

Lunch time.

In the afternoon going on to drive to Fergana. Make rest stop in Rishtan and visit to the workshop of Ceramics.

The specific feature of Rishtan Ceramics is using local red clay and natural pigments made of minerals and grasses, hand-picked from green mountains. Rishtan Ceramics have unique “ishkor” glaze, made of ashes, that give beautiful soft shine.

Visiting the ceramics workshop you will be able to have free of charge master class and create your own masterpiece.

Drive to Fergana, upon arrival, transfer and check –in to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3 Fergana –Marguilan –Tashkent –Urgench –Khiva

Breakfast at hotel. In the morning drive back to Tashkent.

Make a rest stop en route in Marguilan and visit to Yodgorlik Silk Factory, well known around the world. You will have an opportunity to observe the production of Central Asian Silk.

The “Yodgorlik” Silk Factory attracts the thousands of tourists , coming each year to observe all steps of Uzbek Silk production. During your visit you can learn the process of silk production from the first step: begining form the silk farming end with the long meters of beautiful atlas. In the factory, they also make semi-silk, satin and adras. The produced materials are exported to many countries, like South Korea, India, Iran, Russia, Germany and others. Even many travelers of Silk Road Destination visit Uzbekistan with the main purpose to buy Silk for Yodgorlik Factory!

Than go on to drive to Tashkent direction, upon arrival transfer to The International Airport to take Domestic Flight to Urgench.

For about 1h20 min you will reach Urgench and right after arrival, transfer to Khiva and your hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Explore marvelous city, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Sightseeing in all monuments of Ichan Kala:

— The Juma Mosque, constitutes remarkable type of architecture of XVII cc.
— The “Kunya Ark” –the ancient fortress, established in 1686 — 1688 by Arang-Khan
— The “Kalta Minor” and the Madrasa of Muhammad-Amin-Khan
— The Tash-Kauli Palace, built in 1830 — 1838 for Alla-Kulli-Khan
— The Mausoleum of Pahlavan Mahmud (1247 — 1325)
— The Mausoleum of Sayid All-Uddin, which has retained its XIV century layout intact
— The Madrasa of Islam-Khodja (1908 — 1910), with its elegant minaret, at 45 m the highest in Khiva
— The Madrasa of Alla-Kuli, built in 1835.
